It is an operating system belonging to the family Linux. Kali Linux (formerly BackTrack) is a operating system based on operating system Debian. It is originally from Switzerland. Use the following desktop environments: Enlightenment, GNOME, KDE Plasma, LXDE, MATE, Xfce.
Xfce is a desktop environment lightweight for this reason is useful for PC’s with low computing power. The KDE Desktop is the great alternative to Gnome, the most used desktop in linux. It consumes a little less resources than Gnome but it is still heavy and very customizable as well.LXDE is a famous desktop for Linux that tries to consume few resources while still having a visually appealing interface.
